CCG welcomed to special dinner with media leaders in NYC
Henry Huiyao Wang and Mabel Lu Miao also visited Asia Society Policy Institute's Center for China Analysis, National Committee on U.S.–China Relations, and China Institute in America.
Henry Huiyao Wang, Founder and President of the Center for China and Globalization (CCG), and Mabel Lu Miao, Co-Founder and Secretary-General of CCG, are visiting the U.S. this week.
In New York City, they were welcomed on April 29 to a special dinner hosted by Norman Pearlstine featuring U.S. media and thinktank leaders including Fareed Zakaria, Almar Latour, Alan Murray, Lori Murray Peter Spiegel, Steven Swartz, Martin Smith, Paul J Bascobert, Jane Bascobert, Jane Boon, Andy Browne, Marcus W Brauchli, Dorinda (Dinda) Elliott, Mike Federle, Alice Young, Orville Schell, Jing Qian, Fred Teng, and Max Lu.
Henry and Mabel also went to a meeting at the National Committee on United States–China Relations with participants including Stephen A. Orlins, Ambassador Susan Elliot (President and CEO of National Committee on American Foreign Policy, NCAFP), and Jan Berris.
They also spoke at a luncheon hosted by the China Institute in America, one of the oldest groups in the U.S. that aims to advance understanding of Chinese culture and business, where Co-Chair of the Board of Trustees Yue-Sai Kan invited a number of distinguished guests.
Peter B. Walker, another Co-Chair, and George S. Geh, China Institute’s CEO, also spoke. Kent M. Swig, another one of the three Co-Chairs, was in attendance.
They also visited the Asia Society Policy Institute’s Center for China Analysis for a discussion with Jing Qian, the Center’s Co-Founder and Managing Director, and his team.
