Who is Denis Simon?
Denis Simon, a national of the United States, holds a Ph.D. and serves as the Chairman of the Alliance of Global Talent Organizations (AGTO). Born in Brooklyn, New York in 1952, Dr. Simon was honored with the National Friendship Award of China in 2006.
Throughout his academic career, Dr. Simon has held tenured positions at several prestigious universities in the United States, including Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Pennsylvania State University, State University of New York, University of Oregon, and Arizona State University. He also taught at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and served as a visiting professor at Columbia University.
In the corporate sector, Dr. Simon has held leadership roles in China for the Monitor Group and Andersen Consulting, now known as Accenture. From 2015 to 2020, Dr. Simon served as the Executive Vice Chancellor of Duke Kunshan University.
He has authored numerous academic works, including “Talent Advantage of China's Technological Rise." His research interests encompass innovation and R&D systems in East Asia, Sino-US technological cooperation, and international talent exchange. Dr. Simon is capable of general communication in Mandarin.
